A Nutritional Approach to Endometriosis

Endometriosis is a painful, chronic condition in which the tissue lining inside of the uterus grows outside of the uterus. Endometriosis can become exacerbated if your body has systemic inflammation (inflammation within your body that you cannot actually see externally). Because of this, nutritional strategies for managing endometriosis focus on reducing the inflammation in the body by eating foods that are anti-inflammatory and strengthen the immune system.

Eating a diet rich in a variety of antioxidants is key to managing internal inflammation.

Avoiding foods that cause inflammation will be a big part of relieving pain associated with endometriosis. Eliminating sugar and alcohol is a great first step towards reducing the risk of endometriosis, especially if you have a family history of this condition.  With consistent dietary changes, you can see significant changes in the symptoms you experience when dealing with endometriosis.

We have created meal planning packages to help you implement dietary changes that can help you reach optimal health.
